Beginning in February, Rivanna will begin holding ICORE matches at RRPC (Rivanna and Rifle Pistol Club, Charlottesville, VA) ICORE (International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts) is best described as IPSC/USPSA for revolvers, lots of shots and lots of targets.

There are two gun divisions: Limited (basically stock) and Open (ports, optical sights, that sort of thing. The target is the NRA D-1, the "tombstone" targets used at Bianchi Cup and GSSF matches. Minimum PF is 120,000, minimum caliber is 32 Magnum. Stages must be 6-round neutral. See all the rules as well as everything else about ICORE at http://www.ICORE.org.

The RRPC Board of Directors have authorized February 2, March 1 and April 5 as the initial match dates. The expectation is that we will continue the 1st Saturday of each month as ICORE match day if the first set of dates are successful. While we may not have a match EVERY month, we'll probably have most of them covered.

Match registration will begin at 8:00 am, shooting at 9:00, range fee will be $10 (we may have to charge a surcharge for Classifier stages, we'll see how it goes).

ICORE membership will not be required at the first match or two that you shoot, but it will be required later. If you would like to go ahead and join ICORE, you can download a membership form at the ICORE site.

Match Director is Jim Wilson and Jim asks that you initially send your registration to him rather than directly to ICORE. If you don't have his address, contact the ICORE committee via the contact form by selecting "ICORE Committee" from the Intended Recippient list.
